Delhi horror: Neighbour slashes woman's throat after dispute over fetching water
In a horrifying incident reported from Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area, a woman was murdered allegedly by her neighbour after a dispute over fetching water at a slum cluster on Tuesday.
The incident happened at Delhi’s Dalit Ekta camp. The accused allegedly slashed the woman's throat with a long knife causing her instant death. The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Shyam Kala.
As maintained by the victim's son, the accused also attacked him and his father with a knife when they tried to step-in. The victim's family said they are scared are the accused and his family. Kala's husband suffered grievous wounds in the attack.
"She was lying on the floor motionless and was drenched in blood completely. Her husband was lying on the ground some distance away. The accused and his family has created a terror in the locality and beaten up many local residents, said a local resident.
Earlier, the victim Shyam Kala went to fetch water outside her home at around 6 am. Meanwhile, her neighbour Arjun also came there and had a quarrel with her over the water. The accused then brought a knife and slashed the victim's throat. Arjun had been involved in criminal activities in the past.
