Delhi horror: Elderly man rapes 3-year-old girl on pretext of giving mangoes

In a horrifying incident reported from the national capital, an elderly man allegedly raped a 3-year-old girl, after he called her on the pretext of giving her mangoes.

The city police have taken the accused into their custody on the basis of the complaint registered by the family of the victim.

In the police complaint, the victim's family, resident of Tughlaqabad area, alleged that the accused frequently used to visit their place.

On the day of the horrifying incident, the elderly accused called the victim inside his house and allegedly sexually assaulted her.

When her mother started looking for her, the elderly accused, identified as Durvasa, sent the minor home. At night, the victim's health started to deteriorate, after which, she was taken for medical examination and it was revealed that she had been raped.

The Delhi Police registered an FIR at Govindpuri police station and took the accused into their custody.

In another horrific incident reported from Madhya Pradesh, an 11-year-old girl was raped by her 17-year-old cousin in an isolated mango orchard in Rewa on Sunday.

The accused took advantage of the isolated orchard and raped his minor cousin. The girl narrated the incident to her family following which a case was registered.

A woman officer recorded the statement of the victim. She was then taken to the hospital for medical. A case has been filed under sections of rape and the POCSO Act and the accused has been held.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
