Delhi businessman had extramarital affair, stabbed to death by woman's fiance

A 46-year-old Delhi businessman, who was having an affair with an employee, was stabbed to death allegedly by the fiance of the woman who then stuffed the body in a suitcase, took a train and dumped it in Bharuch in Gujarat, police said.

The victim who was identified as Neeraj Gupta, was a resident of Delhi’s Model Town. The main accused, Mohammed Zubair, fiancee Faizal and the girl’s mother Shaheen Naaz have been taken into custody.

The incident happened on the night of 13th November. A friend of the deceased had registered a missing report on 14th November when he did not return home. The call records and victim's location were obtained, but he couldn’t be traced, the report stated.

The victim’s wife filed a police complaint of kidnapping, naming Faizal as the main suspect as her husband had been having an extramarital relationship with the girl. Faizal, who had also been an employee at Gupta's office in Karol Bagh was having an affair with the girl for around 10 years.
