Crime Caught on CCTV: Two women tie dog to scooty, drag it to death

CCTV footage of atrocities on an innocent dog has gone viral on social media. In the video, two women were seen dragging the helpless and injured dog.

The incident took place in Patiala, Punjab on June 20. Two unidentified women tied the dog with a rope behind their scooty and dragged it along the road in the New Century Enclave.


According to India Today reports, the accused women fled the spot by opening the dog rope after people gathered to stop them. Later the injured dog died during the treatment.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act against unknown women. Police are searching the accused women, said Gurmeet Singh, SHO, Century enclave.

In another cruelty against an animal, a Delhi-based YouTuber made a video of his pet dog tied to several hydrogen balloons to made it fly.

The accused identified as Gaurav John, who posted the video on his YouTube channel with his pet dog at a park in Delhi.

In the video, the dog was seen left suspended in the air for a moment and the YouTuber, including his mother, were seen cheering.

The video was shared on YouTube but was later removed after animal rights organizations filed a complaint.

Police arrested Gaurav John after members of People For Animal filed a complaint at the Malviya Nagar police station in Delhi.

A case with the charges of animal cruelty has been lodged against Gaurav John and his mother under Sections 188, 269, 34 of the Animal Cruelty Act.

However, he later apologized to those who were hurt by the video showing his pet dog Dollar.
