Couple locks 17-year-old boy in room for stealing undergarments; what boy does next will shock you
A couple in Bhopal allegedly locked a 17-year-old boy inside a room after they saw him stealing their undergarments. The couple had called the police to register a case against the teenage boy.
When police reached the spot, they found the boy hanging from a ceiling fan as they opened the door of the room in which he was locked.
The Bhopal police have registered an abetment-to-suicide case against a couple for allegedly locking the 17-year-old boy inside a room.
According to the Gandhi Nagar Police, the now-deceased boy had come to stay with his cousin, who was living in the area. He was spotted stealing undergarments of his neighbours on Saturday night.
The couple identified as Ravi (24) and his wife chased the boy after spotting him stealing their undergarments.
According to SHO Gandhi Nagar police station Arun Sharma, after locking the boy inside the room, the couple called up his brother and the police. When police reached the spot and opened the door, they saw the youth found hanging from the ceiling fan, indiatoday.in reported.
The stolen undergarments were also recovered from the spot.
Based on the complaint filed by the deceased's cousin, the police have registered an abetment-to-suicide case against the couple.
A case under 306 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the couple. The post mortem of the deceased was conducted and the body was handed over to the family of the 17-year-old boy on Sunday.
On the other hand, the relatives of the couple have alleged that they were being harassed for doing what they should have done in such a situation.
