Coronavirus: Suspected Covid-19 patient attempts suicide by jumping off 3rd floor in AIIMS Delhi
A 37-year-old man, admitted at the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) over possibility of being infected with Sars-CoV-2, jumped off the third floor of the hospital on Satruday. He survived the suicide attempt.
The man has survived with a fractured leg and is safe and sound as of now. His Covid-19 test results are still awaited.
The patient was going through treatment at the AIIMS when he jumped off the third floor of the hospital.
He is a resident of Delhi’s Mata Sundri Road. He was admitted to the hospital on 31st March.
On Saturday, the man leaped off the building and came down on tin roof below and then fell on the ground. The lessened affect saved his life.
Several people across the country who have been quarantined over fear of coronavirus have committed suicide.
Previously a patient who was isolated at the Safdarjun Hospital after he came to India committed suicide by jumping off the building.
An aged couple allegedly committed suicide in Punjab’s Amritsar on Friday over fear of getting infected by Covid-19.
A suspected coronavirus patient allegedly committed suicide in the isolation ward of a hospital in Shamli district, Uttar Pradesh a couple of days ago. His test results then came later mentioned that he did not Sars-CoV-2.
