Coronavirus: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik announces Rs 2,200 crore package for economically weaker sections

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday put out Rs 2,200 crore package for well-being of economically weaker sections of society of the state to cope with Covid-19 linked impact.

After it was discovered the third person who tested positive for coronavirus in the state Odisha on Thursday had no overseas travel history, fear of community transmission has been threatening the state.


Odisha Health Department established that the third coronavirus patient has no foreign travel history. This means the state of Odisha has entered Stage-3 of community transmission.

The man travelle to Delhi, NCR and Rewari in Haryana between 7th March and 10th with his family. Later, the patient and his family arrived at Bhubaneswar on IndiGo flight from the national capital on 10th March. He was tested positive on 26th March.
