Chennai: Man jumps off second floor while holding daughter's hand
A man has ended his and daughter’s life after jumping from the building. The shocking case has come to light from Chennai where a man jumped off the second floor while holding his daughter on Sunday afternoon.
The man identified as Thirupati Reddy, who was having psychiatric problems. On Sunday, Reddy went to the balcony of his flat and climbed the parapet along with his daughter named Harika (4). From the wall’s fence of the second floor, the man jumped off the building.
The man jumped off his flat on the second floor in Madhavaram with his four-year-old child in the Madhavaram area of Chennai.
However, the man and his minor daughter died on the spot.
Shockingly, the entire incident was witnessed by the locals and they didn’t take any step to stop the 35-year-old man who was going to end his life along with his little daughter. He commited suicide after jumping from the building and then onlookers rushed them to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced them dead.
Their bodies were later shifted to the Government Stanley Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. During the investigation, Police didn’t find any suicide note written by the man, Times of India reports claimed.
As per the initial reports, Reddy worked as a cashier at a garlic godown. Reports claimed that he had been psychiatric issues for the last several months and often skipped work due to the same.
