Blind man tries to save woman from 'harasser'; know what happens next
In a horrific incident of crime, a man allegedly murdered a visionless man after hitting him with a stone when the latter stopped him from "harassing" a woman who was also blind.
The deceased victim, identified as Radhe Shyan, aged 40, was a native of Uttar Pradesh’s Kushi Nagar. The incident happened in Sultanpuri area of the national capital on Wednesday, the Times of India reported.
According to police investigation, the blind woman was sleeping on the footpath near the accused man when the latter woke up and accused her of stealing Rs 20. This led to an argument between the two.
Hearing the two, the victim (Radhe Shyam), who runs a pan shop near the footpath where the two were sleeping, tried to calm down the altercation. It was then that the accused picked up a stone and hit Radhe Shyam with it.
Police then received a call informing them about the man being hit in Sultanpuri. The cops were informed that the injured man had been admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.
The victim Radhe Shyam later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. As per the police a case of murder had been lodged and teams had been set up to trace and arrest the accused.
