Bihar Shocker: Stepfather kills daughter for talking to lover

In a shocking incident, a man has been arrested for killing his stepdaughter in Bihar’s Patna.
As per police, the man dumped the body of the minor daughter in the Punpun river in the rural parts of the city.

According to India Today reports, the case came to light when locals in the Fatuha police station area in the rural area found the decomposed body from the Punpun river on Wednesday afternoon.

The girl was identified as a 15-year-old resident of Ekangarsarai in the Nalanda district of Bihar. The accused man was identified as Santoshi Thakur.

Police sent the body for a postmortem. According to the police, the girl was killed by her stepfather on Monday. The family members of the victim told police that her stepfather caught her talking to her boyfriend. Due to this, he got infuriated and beat his stepdaughter brutally and her mother also, the police said.

Later, Thakur strangled the girl with a rope till she died. The accused man allegedly brought the body from Ekangarsarai to Fatuha in Patna and dumped the body of the girl into the Punpun river.

Based on the relative's statements, the police have arrested Santoshi Thakur for the murder of his stepdaughter.

According to reports, the accused man has rejected the allegations and has claimed that the girl had committed suicide.

Meanwhile, further investigation is underway.
