Bihar Shocker: Mentally ill man kills four children; know the reason

In a shocking incident, a man from the Siwan district of Bihar killed his four children, including three sons and a daughter.

The incident took place in Belha village on Tuesday.

According to timesnownews.com, the wife of the accused and his other daughter escaped death as they fled the house. However, they have suffered injuries, said police.

The accused man has been identified as Awdesh Chaudhary. While the victims identified as Abhishek Kumar (14), Mukesh Kumar (10), Jyoti Kumar (18), and Bhola Kumar (12).

According to the Hindustan Times, the terrifying incident took place when the accused returned from the market and grabbed a sharp-edged weapon, and then attacked his children and his wife.

Fortunately, the accused wife Rita Devi and his daughter Anjali managed to escape from the spot in an injured state. Rita and Anjali have been admitted to Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) for treatment.

Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Shashi Bhushan Kumar said that he came to know of the incident after midnight and took the accused into custody.

During the investigation, the police found that the accused stop taking his medicines he was taking for his mental illness.

The accused told police that he felt that something entered his body and forced him to kill his family. When he came to sense, he even didn’t realize that he had murdered them.

Meanwhile, he has been booked under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police have also sealed the house of the accused of forensic examination.
