Bihar man shot dead after spitting paan from his window

In yet another horrific incident of crime coming in from Bihar’s Siwan, a garment seller was shot dead at his residence on charges of spitting paan from his window. The appalling episode happened in Purani Kila Pokhra area whch falls under the jurisdiction of Sarai police station on Sunday at around 10 pm.

As maintained by the investigation, the deceased person has been identified as Ahsan Malik and he was a street vendor and was also a resident of UP’s Shamli. The victim stayed at a rented house with his other associates in Siwan.

The horrifying incident transpired when Ahsan was cooking food at night and was also chewing paan at the same time. During the course, he spat the paan outside from his window and some of it splattered on a person who was standing beneath. This didn’t go too well with the person and he barged into victim's house and started abusing him..

Following this, the two got into an heated argument and Ahsan objected to his abuse, after which the person shot Ahsan from a very close range. He fell on the ground after sustaining gunshot injuries, according to the news agency IANS.

After hearing the gun sound, his neighbours gathered at his house and police were alerted about the incident. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors. In the meantim, the accused is at large and a manhunt has been launched to trace and arrest him as soon as possible.
