28 September is the date to celebrate the birth anniversary of India’s freedom fighter Bhagat Singh who was born on this day in 1907. He fought for the country’s freedom from British Raj and his remarkable words have rejuvenated the youth of the nation.

The freedom fighter was born in the Lyallpur district of the Punjab province of British India (currently in Pakistan), stood out for his extraordinary bravery and patriotism for his country.

However, Singh was sentenced to death along with Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar, for conspiring to kill John P Saunders, a British Police officer, who had ordered to take the action against the independence movement of Lala Lajpat Rai.
