Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter Harshita loses huge amount while trying to sell sofa set online
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s daughter Harshita Kejriwal was duped of Rs 34,000 while trying to sell a second-hand sofa set on a portal.
Harshita fell into the trap after a fraudster contacted her to buy the sofa set that she had listed on the popular sale-purchase online platform.
Fraudster send a QR code:
After finalizing a deal, the man verified the bank account details of Kejriwal’s daughter and sent some amount to her account. Thereafter, he sent a QR code to Harshita and asked her to scan it to receive the remaining money.
When Harshita scanned the code, a sum of Rs 20,000 got debited to her account.
Subsequently, she questioned the man about the money debited from her account. The fraudster told her that he sent the wrong bar code mistakenly. He then sent another code and asked her to follow the same procedure for receiving the money. Once again, she lost another Rs 14,000. Soon after this, Harshita realized that she has been duped.

She then approached the Civil Lines police station and filed a complaint against the scammer on charges of cheating, news18.com reported.
Probe launched:
Based on the police complaint, the cops started the search of the accused man. According to a police officer, an FIR has been filed on the basis of Delhi CM’s daughter under the relevant sections of the IPC.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been started into the case. Police are trying to trace the scammer.
