Army Day 2019: From PM Modi to Rajyavardhan Rathore, a special tribute to Indian soldiers by these famous personalities
15th January is observed as the Indian Army Day. On 15th January 1949, Field Marshal Kodandera M Cariappa took over the charge as the first Commander-in-chief of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Butcher, who was the last British Commander-in-Chief.
However, this special day is dedicated to our Indian Army soldiers who are always there to fought to safeguard the country’s honour.

However, last year, Chief of Army Staff General Bipin Rawat had said the ceasefire violations by Pakistan are frequent, but the Indian Army retaliates to it effectively.
