20-year-old girl gang-raped inside abandoned hospital building
In a horrifying incident to crime reported from Telangana’s Nizamabad district, five men have been taken into police custody for the gang-rape of a 20-tear-old girl at an abandoned hospital building, police said.
According to police, five men have been nabbed for their involvement in the horrific crime. A case has been filed against the five accused under Indian Penal Code (IPC) on charges of gang-rape, wrongful restraint and under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, police said, as per a news report by Times of India.
Police said three accused took turns to rape the woman while two others were abetters.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday when the victim was offered lift while she was on her way home. She had befriended one of the accused and sat on a bike. They took her around Nizamabad while telling her that they were going for a drive. They then took her to the abandoned hospital building and took turns to rape her, police said.
As maintained by cops, the accused raped her in the watchman's room at the abandoned hospital building.
Three of the accused had carried out the criminal act while two others were accomplices.
All five accused have been put behind bars and a further investigation into the matter is underway, police said.
