Sawai Madhopur (Rajasthan): Chief Minister Bhajanlal's government will present its first full budget on July 10. After the government formation in December 2023, Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari presented an interim budget on February 8. Now, on July 10, the Chief Minister will present the first budget. A talk show was organized at Ranthambhore Sevika Hospital, near Circuit House, to discuss the budget. Doctors shared their expectations for the upcoming budget in the healthcare sector.

Doctors Speak Out: Package Needs to be Increased
The package is very low in the Chief Minister's Ayushman scheme, formerly known as the Chiranjeevi scheme. The government has kept the packages for patients' operations very low. It is expected that the government will increase the package in the upcoming budget. Sometimes, some medicines are not available in government hospitals, causing difficulties for poor patients.

Increase Medicines in the Scheme
There are many shortcomings in the Chief Minister's Ayushman scheme. The number of medicines is less, causing difficulties for patients. The government had previously provided many facilities to patients under the Chiranjeevi scheme, but later withdrew them. The government should increase medicines and facilities in the Ayushman scheme considering patients' needs.

Packages Should be Increased like Other States
In the upcoming budget, the government is expected to increase the package in the Ayushman scheme. In other states, the package for patients' operations is very high, but in Rajasthan, it is low. The package should be increased in the Ayushman scheme and the RGSSH scheme.

Grading of Hospitals
The government should start the process of grading hospitals. Each hospital should be graded according to its package. The grading of all hospitals should be done under the Chiranjeevi and RGSSH schemes.

Cover Discontinued Medicines Again
Many medicines have been discontinued under the Chiranjeevi scheme. These medicines are expensive and not affordable for poor patients. These medicines should be covered again under the scheme.

Doctors expressed their expectations from the upcoming budget in the healthcare sector.
