However, controversy grappled "Pathaan" after the release of its song – ‘Besharam Rang’. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra raised objections to the use of saffron-colored costume, which Deepika Padukone wore, in the song. He also threatened to ban "Pathaan" in Madhya Pradesh if those shots were not replaced.
After that, several protests were held across the country against the movie. Amid protests, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) advised the makers of "Pathaan" to make certain changes in the film, including the song.
"Pathaan" stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in pivotal roles. The movie is set to release on January 25.
