The ten-day long festival, Ganesh Chaturthi has started from today onwards. Therefore, all Hindus will celebrate this auspicious festival with all enthusiasm. However, Ganesh Chaturthi marks as the birth of Lord Ganesha, which is also known as ‘Vinayaka Chavithi’. Lord Ganesha also was known as Vinayak, Ganapati, Pillaiyar and Binayak. Devotees worshipped him as the God of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune.

Every year, this biggest festival falls in the month of September and this year, Lord Ganesha devotees will celebrate the festive Ganesh Chaturthi from 13th September to 23rd September. However, people used to bring the idol of Lord Ganesha at their homes and do all the rituals for the next 10 days at their home to celebrate the birthday celebration of Lord Ganesha.

15 September
• Morning- 7:41 am to 9:13 am
• Afternoon- 12:16 pm to 4:51 pm
• Evening- 6:23 pm to 7:51 pm
• Night- 9:19 pm to 1:45 am (September 16)

16 September
• Morning- 4:42 am to 6:10 am

17 September
• Morning- 6:11 am to 7:42 am and 9:13 am to 10:44 am
• Afternoon- 1:47 pm to 7:49 pm
• Night- 10:47 pm to 0:16 am

18 September
• Morning - 1:45 am to 6:11 am

19 September

So, during the above timings, you all can do the sthapan of Lord Ganesha at your home place or at your workplace and also do all the puja vidhi of Lord Ganesha.

Fasting:

 

Devotees who are bringing the idol to their homes for 10 days then they have to get up early in the morning and after a bath, they have to start their fast and start doing the prayers and also enchant the mantras, aartis and also offer sweets to Lord Ganesha to seek his blessings. However, these rituals you have to follow for the 10 days.


Ganesh Visarjan:

 

After the 10 days of celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, on the last day of the festival, devotees take the idol of Lord Ganesha for immersion in a river or sea.
