Jodhpur  (Rajasthan) : The Rajasthan Assembly's budget session is set to commence on July 3. The Bhajanlal Government will present its first full budget, which promises to transform Rajasthan into a new Rajasthan and Jodhpur into a new Jodhpur.

In an interview with Rajasthan Patrika, Jodhpur MLA Atul Bhansali stated that his government has prepared a roadmap to develop Rajasthan, with a focus on Jodhpur. Bhansali also mentioned that he has adopted 12 schools in the city, which will be developed with the help of CSR funds.

When asked about Jodhpur's expectations from the budget, Bhansali expressed confidence that the city will receive adequate attention. "We have sent our demands to the government, and I believe that the Chief Minister will take note of them and provide sufficient funds for the city's development," he said.

Some of the key demands made by the MLA for Jodhpur include:

* Allocation of Rs 100 crore for heritage conservation and development
* Rs 25 crore for the maintenance and development of inner city roads
* Rs 10 crore for the protection and conservation of Gulab Sagar and Fateh Sagar lakes
* Rs 300 crore for the development of Mathuradas Mathur Hospital over the next five years
* Rs 50 crore for an indoor stadium and Rs 10 crore for the development of sports facilities in Shala Kreeda Sangam Goshala and Ummed Stadium

* Provision for pensions for retired teachers and employees of Jai Narayan Vyas University and MBM University
* Incentivized PPP model to promote e-rickshaws in Jodhpur
* Development of community buildings with funds from MPs and MLAs

When asked about his expectations from the budget, Bhansali emphasized the importance of budgeting for a state's development. "A budget reflects a state's vision for development, which leads to better institutional infrastructure and public facilities," he said.

What does the government expect from the budget? "We expect the current government to prioritise Jodhpur's development, unlike the previous BJP government, which neglected the city's development," Bhansali said. "We hope that the Chief Minister will allocate sufficient funds for Jodhpur's development in the budget."
