Petrol, diesel prices drop further on Sunday; diesel retails at under Rs 70 in Delhi
The petrol and diesel prices are continuously falling down due to contastant slit in international crude oil prices, giving a much-needed relief to the customers. The drop in the petrol, diesel prices have seen a continuation even on Sunday when petrol prices went down by 40-41 paise, diesel prices were slashed by 45-46 paise in major cities across the country.
The petrol price today in Delhi was priced at Rs 74.84 as against Rs 75.25 on Saturday and diesel was retailing at Rs 69.70 compared to Rs 70.16 yesterday, according to data available on Indian Oil Corporation website.
In Mumbai, petrol was sold at Rs 80.38 per litre on Sunday compared to Rs 80.79 on Saturday. Diesel in Mumbai became cheaper by 46 paise to Rs 72.99 per litre.
Brent crude oil futures hit their lowest since December 2017 at $59.04 per barrel. Also, in the month of November so far, petrol prices have come down by nearly Rs 5 per litre while diesel has become cheaper by almost Rs 4.30 across major cities of the country.
